As a manufacturer of ethical and veterinary pharmaceutical products the management and staff of Specpharm Holdings (Pty) Ltd are committed to the creation of a HEALTHY, SAFE & INJURY FREE working environment and to the PREVENTION OF POLLUTION of the natural environment with special consideration to the community in which we operate.

Our objectives and targets will focus on:

  • Compliance with all applicable legislation & any other requirements relating to EH&S
  • Hazard identification and elimination through risk assessments and audits of Occupational Health and Safety issues.
  • A thorough environmental evaluation of manufacturing processes Pollution Prevention
  • Minimization of waste
  • Optimization of Energy & Water consumption
  • Maintaining ISO14001 and OHSAS18001 certification

Objectives and targets will be reviewed annually to ensure continuous improvement.  We will train our employees on the performance of tasks, which may impact on their own or co-workers safety and which could have an impact on the natural environment. Also on the necessary preventative action and emergency procedures relating to that activity.

This policy will be communicated to all employees and to external, interested and affected parties on request.
